Must obtain CPR/BLS certification within six <strong>(6)</strong> months of appointment.</p><p><br></p><p>It is the policy of Allegheny County that in order to receive a final offer of employment, candidates must successfully pass a background check, which includes verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status, and drug/medical examinations as required for the position. The pre-employment drug screen must be completed within 48 hours of the acceptance of the conditional offer of employment.</p></span> </div> <br> <span id="bold4" class=" font-weight-bold">Position Summary: </span> <span id="MainContent_PositionSummary"><br><br><p>Reporting directly to the Quality Improvement Manager and working collaboratively with the comprehensive healthcare team, this position organizes, develops, coordinates, and assists in directing the Quality Improvement Program within the Health Services Department at the Allegheny County Jail. The incumbent provides operational and strategic leadership to support the delivery of healthcare services and focuses on reviewing and analyzing the fidelity and integrity of policies. The Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for program growth and development within the department. </p></span> <br> <br> <span id="MainContent_bold12" class="font-weight-bold">Overview: </span> <span id="MainContent_Overview"><br><br></span> <br> <span id="bold5" class="font-weight-bold">Duties: </span> <span id="MainContent_Duties"><br><br><ul><li>Ensures that the department's services meet and exceed the expectations of accrediting bodies.</li><li>Develops, reviews, and revises policies and procedures to increase the standard of care within the Health Services Department.</li><li>Acts as a liaison for partnerships and stakeholders to ensure an increase in services and holistic care provisions for the incarcerated population.</li><li>Develops, generates, analyzes, and evaluates relevant data and reports.</li><li>Creates and maintains a dashboard for tracking and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics.</li><li>Conducts routine process reviews to establish efficient provision of services and works to increase the availability of services.</li><li>Maintains confidentiality of all medical records.</li><li>Attends and assists with the coordination of quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings.</li><li>Develops, oversees, and monitors process improvement plans.</li><li>Performs other duties as required.</li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold6" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities </span> <span id="MainContent_KSA"><br><br></span> <span id="bold7" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge of: </span> <span id="MainContent_Knowledgeof"><br><br><ul><li>The healthcare delivery system.</li><li>Healthcare administration within a correctional setting.</li><li>Laws and legislation of the ACA, Title 37, NCCHC, and PREA.</li><li>Criminal justice system.</li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold9" class="font-weight-bold">Skill in: </span> <span id="MainContent_Skills"><br><br><ul><li>Computer program proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Policy writing skills.</li><li>Electronic Health Care records a plus.</li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold8" class="font-weight-bold">Ability to: </span> <span id="MainContent_Abilityto"><br><br><ul><li>Interact with incarcerated individuals with a sensitivity and understanding of a specific population's needs.</li><li>Lead, function independently, and make informed decisions using sound professional judgment.</li><li>Supervise the quality of care and treatment provided to incarcerated individuals.</li><li>Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs, goals, and objectives for providing quality care.</li><li>Communicate effectively with correctional staff, jail administrative and medical management, patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.</li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.</li><li>Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a stressful environment.</li><li>Successfully manage and resolve conflict.</li><li>Solve complex problems efficiently.</li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold10" class="font-weight-bold">Residency: </span> <span id="MainContent_Residency">Not required to live in Allegheny County</span> <br> <span id="bold11" class=" font-weight-bold">Veterans' Preference: </span> <span id="MainContent_VeteransPreference">Will be awarded to eligible candidates.</span> <br> <div id="Needtocenterandbold" class=" text-md-center font-weight-bold"> AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER - M/F/V/D </div> <br> <br> <div id="Needtocenterandbold2" class=" text-md-center font-weight-bold"> <a href="https://apps.alleghenycounty.us/HRJobApplication/firstpage.aspx?id=2958" id="MainContent_Applyonline">Apply Online</a> </div> </div> <br> <br> <br> </div>
