MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As aTechnical Writer, the workyoulldoat GDIT will be impactful to the customers mission. Create, update, andmaintaintechnical documentation, including full diagramschematics, manuals, and operational procedures to ensure consistency in standards and clarity of processes. Develop andmaintaincomprehensive Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project management, workflows, and compliance efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to gather and organize technical information. Ensure all documentation complies with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with currentsystems or requirements. Maintain records of revisions, version control, and documentation repositories to ensure accessibility and traceability.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technologyexpertiseand drive for innovation to GDIT. TheTechnical Writermust have: Bachelors degree inTechnical Writing, Communications,English,or related field.Experience may be substituted for education. Minimum of8years of experienceas a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology-driven environment. Familiarity with industry-standard writing stylesor government-specific guidelines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to quickly understand and translate technical information and concepts into clear documentation. Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach toidentifyinggaps or inconsistencies in documentation. Familiarity with Agile or ITIL frameworks, as related to technical writing.
